Learn to perform ergonomic assessments!  Why?  EVERYONE is at a computer these days and more people are complaining of musculoskeletal aches and pains.  WHY?  Because of ergonomics!
 
Lets face it, our patient's don't always use the best body mechanics, and our workstations don't always allow for ideal posture. This course explores the challenges faced by therapists and patients when functional activities require excellent body mechanics and and ergonomic setting.
 
You will learn how to assess work and home settings and how to set them up for maximum efficiency. This program will help you understand how to design work tasks, tools, and workstations to minimize cognitive and physical loads, reduce fatigue and injury, and improve productivity.
 
You will also learn how to assess the patient's home and/or work setting for injury prevention. Upon course completion students will have the ability to recognize work-related musculoskeletal and nerve disorders, assess employer’s ergonomic programs, and conduct ergonomic assessments.
